So? Who's ready for Phoenix Comic Con 2016?!? I am! I was working on my second Ada Wong costume. However, I couldn't find all of the pieces I needed, so I think I'll be sticking with my usual costume. I'll bring my other pieces just in case, but I am without red high heels and a black vinyl jacket with white stitching. I have everything else.
To be completely honest with all of you, I've never been a part of Phoenix Comic Con. This will be my first one ever and I'm so psyched! Not only is it much larger than Tucson Comic Con, but they have so many celebrity guests that I'm already fangirling. Come on, now! Who wouldn't fangirl over Oded Fehr, D.C. Douglas, and Troy Baker? Not to mention a lot of Doctor Who actors!
The guests aren't the only thing I'm excited about. I will be spending Wednesday through Monday night with Albert Wesker (also know as Chris, my boyfriend). We have a long distance relationship, so anytime I get to spend with him is always good! It's great to have a boyfriend who cosplays, much less cosplays in the same cosplay group that I do! He has already begun planning out nights together. Wednesday will start our private party with drinks, a movie, and video gaming! Thursday, we have a double date with mutual friends. Friday night, we have an 80's party to attend where I get to see female Mario (also known as Kayla). So, good times with my boyfriend and my friends! This is what Con is all about, in my opinion. Also spreading the word about Umbrella.
I've already heard that some of my students at the school I work at will be there. Should be fun to see them out of the school environment. They'll also get to see me in costume looking pretty bad ass!
For those of you who don't know, we'll be supporting the "Kids Need To Read" charity this time around. What a great cause! Especially since I'm a teacher. Reading is very important. Even if they just read comic books. Reading is reading and I'm happy to promote it, being a bookworm myself.
I hope to see a lot of you there! Come on up to the third floor at the Hall of Heroes and visit us at the Umbrella Corporation/Department of Zombie Defense booth! Can't wait to see everyone!
